Location: THE PIG - at Combe, Honiton, Devon
OTE £13.10 - £13.44 per hour, including tronc.
Hours: Flexible - Full & Part-Time available. Applicants must be able to cover some evening and weekend shifts.
We are currently recruiting for a Sommelier to join our team at THE PIG - at Combe. At THE PIG, our Sommeliers are free from the traditional image of wine service! You will be developing your knowledge of wines whilst working on the floor during our vibrant restaurant service. You will build your knowledge of local and international brands and start to develop relationships with existing and new suppliers. You will also have the opportunity to grow your qualifications by enrolling in various courses and join PIG Sommelier’s for wine team days out, including tastings, vineyard visits and international trips. This role will also include some light bar duties, including closing procedures on the bar.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Previous experience as a Sommelier or Bartender (with a good knowledge of wine) within a similar environment is required. A positive, can-do attitude and eagerness to develop your knowledge in wines and spirits is essential.
