About the role

Sommelier 

NEW OPENING – THE PIG in the South Downs, West Sussex. 

We are delighted to start the search for our Sommelier at the soon to open – THE PIG in the South Downs. 

As Sommelier you will be developing your knowledge of wines whilst working on the floor during our vibrant restaurant service. You will be interacting with guests, pairing wines from our traditional underground cellar and providing recommendations to ensure a memorable dining experience.

Through in role training you will build your knowledge of local and international brands and start to build relationships with existing and new suppliers. You will also have the opportunity to grow your qualifications in wine and spirts by enrolling in various courses.

Experience as a Sommelier or within in a similar role is preferred. As well as having any recognised qualifications in wines and spirits.

New Opening Information: Due to open its doors late this summer, we will be recruiting between May-August. Anticipated start dates are in August. We will be holding a recruitment open day at the Arundel Town Hall on Monday 7th June, 1000-1500. Feel free to pop in and learn more about THE PIG, we would love to see you there.
