We are on the hunt for a hands-on, wellie wearing, food loving Learning & Development Manager. Do you share our spirt of generosity and see yourself not only as a ‘Piggy Person’ but someone who can train, nurture, and develop the future of the hospitality profession?

Just like our kitchens who change their menus every day, our restaurants where nothing matches, (but always look fabulous), or our bars who smash and muddle our drinks with herbs and flowers; there is no limit to what we can do. Our Learning & Development Manager needs to think differently, bringing troughs full of humour, creativity and inspiration to those around them. You will bring demonstrable experience of how learning and development in hospitality has a direct impact on retention and positive engagement for the industry.

We are looking for someone with natural flair and energy to engage and motivate our teams. Your background and experience should enhance your training delivery, amusing anecdotes of your past are essential!

This role plays an important part in the opening of new hotel sites, leading training to ensure a knowledgeable and excellent team is handed over to the Hotel Director. It is essential you have experience in pulling together and executing new opening training plans, creating new teams that bestow our Piggy values.

Your overall objective will be to provide training, progression and development solutions for all our hotels. You will join us in following our vision of providing education, learning and growth to all our team members.

Amongst other things, you will work with the Learning & Development Team on the creation and refreshing of modules both for classroom delivery and on THE HIVE e-learning system. Implementing a calendar of exciting and effective opportunities through THE HIVE training calendar.

You will be developing our new 3 step training concept for management training and providing support, through mentoring the candidates post course.

You will be the custodian of induction standards across all hotels, delivering regular cultural sessions to support the induction online modules

Working as part of the wider People Team function and reporting to the Head of L&D; focusing on delivering training that inspires across all levels. Through the support we provide we have a direct impact on the success of our business, putting people at the heart of everything we do.

What we are looking for:

- Significant experience in Learning and Development

- Experience of opening new sites is essential

- Experience in the hospitality and/or leisure industry is essential plus a passion to inspire and develop the next generation of hospitality professionals.

- Demonstrable experience of developing internal/external relationships

- Confident, engaging, and approachable

- Creative and Independent with a can-do attitude and not being afraid to ‘muck in’ is essential

- Ability to travel on a regular basis with overnight stays especially during new opening phases

If the above has sparked your interest and you think you could be the one we are looking for we’d love to hear from you. We’d like to know something a little bit different about you, and what you think it takes to be THE PIGs next Learning & Development Manager.
