NEW OPENING – THE PIG in the South Downs, West Sussex. 

We are delighted to be able to start the search for the Senior Sous Chef at the newest addition to our Group – THE PIG in the South Downs.  

The role of Senior Sous Chef is key to our success in this brand-new adventure. A can-do attitude and not being afraid to ‘muck in’ is essential, as being part of a new opening will be hard work but very rewarding. Most importantly all our senior members of staff must be truly reflective of our brand and able to lead our teams to provide the high levels of service we are known for.

As Senior Sous Chef at THE PIG in the South Downs,  you will need to be as passionate about modern British food as we are. You will be working with a menu that is influenced by the kitchen garden and can change on an hourly basis. It can be challenging, but very rewarding.

As a Senior Sous Chef you will be running the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef. You will also be managing all aspects of the kitchen, from overseeing sections to costings, rotas and stock take; maintaining standards & daily health and safety checks. Passion is the key to our success, so we want you to be enthusiastic about our food, our animals, the kitchen garden, foraging, and everything you do.

Experience in a similar role with demonstratable skill is essential.

New Opening Information: The doors of the hotel are due to open late this summer. Recruitment for THE PIG in the South Downs will take place between May – August with anticipated start dates in August. We are holding a recruitment open day at the Arundel Town Hall on Monday 7th June, 10am – 3pm. Feel free to pop in, say hello and learn more about THE PIG. We would love to see you there.
