Apprentice Chef – £10 Per Hour, Plus Service Charge

Location: THE PIG on the beach, Studland Bay, Dorset.

Hours: Full Time – 40 hours a week

Salary: £10 Per Hour, Plus Service Charge.  Our Pay Promise – no one in our business will earn less than £10 Per Hour, plus service charge.  In the busy months our kitchen team have earnt up to £400 in service charge per month, whilst service charge varies depending on bookings, with the staycation concept thriving, you can do the maths.

We are looking for Apprentices to join our award-winning Chef Academy, this is an apprenticeship like no other.

You will get to experience all the things that make the PIG’s unique, from craft training to foraging, smoking and curing meats, butchery.  As a PIG Apprentice you will get to work on all sections of the kitchen to gain a full understanding.

There are many other activities outside of the kitchen you will take part in such as supplier visits, chocolate training and bread making.

With clear and proven career progression and expert guidance from our Training Provider – Umbrella.  The apprenticeship is open to all ages, it is a 40-hour contract (5 out of 7 days)

You will get everything you need to start your new career in the kitchen, from a full knife set, uniform, Practical Cookery book and recipe journal, as well as access to a team with a wealth of knowledge and experience.  You will also get a chance to work in other PIG kitchens this is a great opportunity for any budding chef.
