If you’re a wine nerd, we want you to join our team. Our Sommeliers are free from the traditional image of wine service. We want you to talk openly and honestly about your craft, ensuring our guests have the best experience enhanced by your passion, and we do this all wearing jeans and trainers to work!
We love wine so much THE PIG-in the South Downs has its very own vineyard!
Bar
Our bars at THE PIG are unique! We smash, muddle, blend, shake and throw our way to making our guests the perfect drink. All of our cocktails are designed with the kitchen garden in mind. This provides the essential ingredients to infuse our locally sourced spirits. Our vodkas are infused by the herbs, flowers and berries from the kitchen garden, bacon is added to our bourbon and caramel to our rum. There is no limit to what we can do and this all comes from the creative minds of our bar team.
Restaurant
For our Waiting Staff, each day at THE PIG is never the same. Working closely with our kitchen team to deliver a daily changing menu, our Waiting Staff gain inspiration from serving seasonal produce grown within our own kitchen garden and sourced by local suppliers all within a 25 mile radius of the hotel.
At THE PIG, our Waiting Staff are encouraged to interact with our variety of guests, set an informal setting and relaxed approach to all.
Experience is not essential; we are looking for people with a ‘can do attitude’ and commitment to what we do.
Reception
The reception team are the first and last faces our restaurant and hotel guests see during their visit, making first impressions truly count. We aim to give every guest the warmest possible welcome.
Attention to detail and clear communication are essential within the Reception team, as we maintain constant contact with all departments across the hotel. This allows us to create memorable experiences by ensuring each guest receives the tailored service they deserve. By upholding PIG standards and always going the extra mile, we leave our guests with lasting memories of their stay – and of you.
