Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum

Are you a passionate Head Chef ready to take the reins of a thriving, produce-driven kitchen? Do you believe the very best food starts in the garden, celebrates the seasons, and brings people together?

At THE PIG in the Cotswolds, we're searching for an exceptional Head Chef to lead, inspire and develop a talented brigade of 20+ chefs across our hotel and pub kitchen.


This is far more than a kitchen leadership role - it's an opportunity to shape the culinary direction of one of the UK's most celebrated restaurant-with-rooms concepts.

Working alongside our highly skilled Kitchen Garden team, you'll have direct influence over our famous 25-mile menu, celebrating produce grown just moments from the kitchen door. Anything we can't grow ourselves is sourced from trusted local farmers, fishermen and artisan producers.


This is a kitchen where chefs truly cook:

  • Hands-on butchery, foraging and seasonal menu creation.
  • Daily-changing menus inspired by what is growing and thriving.
  • Collaboration with local suppliers and growers.
  • Oversight of our hotel restaurant and Village Pub dining offer.


Most importantly, you'll join a close-knit community of Head Chefs across THE PIG group, sharing ideas, celebrating successes and shaping the future of the business together.

About You

We're looking for an experienced and inspiring culinary leader with:

  • At least 5 years' experience as a Head Chef or Exec Chef within a similar quality-led environment.
  • A genuine passion for seasonal, sustainable British food.
  • Outstanding organisational and people-management skills.
  • Experience developing and mentoring chefs at all levels.
  • The ability to drive consistency, quality and kitchen performance in a high-volume operation.


Experience within a 2 AA Rosette environment is advantageous, but what matters most is your leadership style, creativity and commitment to exceptional food.
